Default Blender 3D

just thought id mention Blender 3D.

http://www.blender.org/

its a neat FREE 3D graphics app.

i have tried it out but am not so good at it, but it looks pretty powerful. just got to get into the learning curve.

just saying is all. i was amazed to find it considering i currently use Carrara which i paid a few hundred pounds for.

How do we use it? Is it free to download?

It's a very nice soft... the best one that you can get for free but I still think that Autodesk's 3d Studio Max and Maya are the best if you can afford it.

Blender is absolutely brilliant, and free too as mentioned.

I have used it to make Architectural and product visualisations as well as short animations. It is hard to use but worth the tinker.

There are endles debates about comparing it to the mainstream commercial options. IMHO it should just be installed and played with, soon it will become a hobby :-)
