Question Is AVG not going to be free anymore?

Hi guys,

I read it in some SEO forum. A guy posted that by June 2008 AVG will no longer be free...

Have any of you heard or read this news?

Nothing has come down the reseller chain, I'd have thought they'd be gearing us up for sales if this was the case.

If ever... what other anti virus softwares (as good as AVG) are out there?

In my experience, AVG beats them all and I suggest customers who would qualify for the free edition to buy the commercial version and take advantage of the extras.

avg will probably always have a free version, they just try and dupe you into buying the pro version when updating.

Given that this is a business forum and AVG free is for personal use only, then what is the issue with buying the pro version

Far better to be safe than sorry, it helps you sleep at night.
