Whilst Google are dominating the world of search then Page 1 and the higher up it you can get is the utmost importance.

Page 2 and beyond simply not worth anything IMO!

I don't agree that page rank is not important. Page rank is quite important when it comes to promoting products pages. Sometimes overall site rank is low, but the site owners make more money because of their product pages rank very well in the Search Engines.

This depends on the keywords you are targeting. If you have done your keyword research right and receive good search engine rankings for these terms, then you should get lots of good quality traffic. The next step is to get these people to convert.
