MSN is usually quite aesthetically pleasing and unfortunately have the monopoly in many areas. For example, IM is pretty much restricted to MSN Messenger. However, I do have a certain affection for Yahoo and the direction they've been going in. It's a lot less corporate and less spammy.

Trillian for me.
It gives me everything I want from either Messenger as well as allowing me to sign in to multiples of both yahoo and msn at once. I must admit to not trying both Yahoo and MSN messengers for some time though ^^
