Default 0800/0808/0845/0870 numbers

Hello,

What are the best deals with this numbers? I've seen vast differences in prices, BT being very expensive, for example. Who do people use, what prices are you paying, any advice on using these numbers?

Hi,

I'm on the lookout for a 0845 number myself as my business is going to be moving premises and hence I need to put the 0845 number on my new business cards. My concern is what happens if/when these cheap 0845 providers go bump. Do I lose my 0845 number or is it registered with BT. Very Confusing.

Exactly, I want a provider who I can trust and will be around for ages but not an expensive provider such as BT. £300 one time fee for a small business such as mine is far too high. :-(

I would even consider paying £300 which is alot of money for myself as well but then they want another £10 a month on top of that!

The only telecom provider where I am is Kingston Communications, and I know they offer the numbers on a monthly basis - surely there are respectable providers out there offering mnthly payments, even on a minimum contract?

I'm not sure how widespread their distribution is - they essentially have their own exchanges based in Hull - so unless you're in East Yorkshire they probably aren;t available. Sorry if that sounded like a tease.

What business are you guys in? Why do you need to get 0845 numbers?

We might be able to assist you with providers as we are independent business utility consultants and one of our specialities is telecoms. Let me know if you guys are interested in discussing your requirments

Cheers

Don't know if this helps but.....

Telecom plus has Freephoneplus. The service costs just £2 (plus VAT) per month, plus call charges. Each call is charged at 7.5p per Peak minute or 6.5p per off-peak minute. All calls are billed in seconds, not rounded up in minutes, with a minimum call charge of just 2p.

And unlike some other telephone companies, there is no connection fee, no number issue fee and no minimum contract.
Peak (per min) = 7.5p
Economy (per min) = 6.5p

Minimum call charge = 2p
Monthly rental = £2
Calls charged per second
Minimum contract = None
Peak times are from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday.

Monthly spend Discounts

£100-£249 = 5% discount
£250-£499 = 10% discount
£500 + = 15% discount
There's no boundaries on the service. Does this help ?
