Well, according to me playing with registry can turn out to be an costly affair. So u have to be utmost careful.
Secondly, if u reduce the time of startup, it may pu pressure on some other are of the PC's functioning. Cant say anything of PC. Its a weird machine made by wierd people. And all the weird world has become weirdly addicted to the weird machine made by weird man. I hope my sentence is not weird. |

There are some other ways to get a computer to start quicker.
It's all about how much hardware you have, when your computer starts it loads up all these drivers for webcams, mouse, keyboard, graphics card e.t.c If you go into the add hardware area in control panel and remove old hardware that you do not use it should help your computer. Also change programs so they do not start up when the computer does, for example you can set msn (windows live) messenger to start up when the computer does or when you want it too. It's the same with most other programs. Also, if you have 2 or more HDD's try and keep them balanced, as a HDD with more than 75% filled slows the computer down more because it has to work harder, whereas if you share the files around the different HDD they usually work better and don't affect your computer and RAM & CPU so much. Also, Regurlar uninstallation of old software and deleating of the IE's temp files (e.t.c) and also disk cleanup help. Run Defragment Once in a while and do the same with the other system maintainence programs. Run your antivirus often also anti spyware and anti malware. Lol, i am saying of all the things experts say you should do, i do them, but it still takes my computer ages to start and it freezes all the time

hmmm, i have tried something similar to this before, and it only slowed down my computer. Initial loading speeds were increased, but starting up and running of applications were slow.
I wont try it :P |
