If you edit your registry a lot, just make sure you keep backups of the registry and keep System Restore Points on your computer, so if you make a mistake, then it is easy to restore your computer to the way it was before. I tried this tip, but I forget what it did, because I tried a lot of others that made my computer faster as a whole. So if you're looking for a faster computer, the solution doesn't always have to be editing the registry (or buying a new one), there are many programs out there that will do the work for you like TweakXP. You choose what you want it to do, it does it for you, and you don't have to worry about screwing up the registry.

Oh and there's no way to make an older computer startup in 10 seconds. It just doesn't work that way.

Lol, that is not true .
Example (real life!):

I have two PCs, both running Windows XP SP2.
One PC is PIII 500Mhz, and the other one is PIV 1.5 Ghz. My 500Mhz PC boots faster than the 'better' one . It just depends on what you let start and how much you got on your PC .

And also, my PC starts up a lot faster than my bro's laptop with double power!

Oh. Well, I guess my laptop just sucks then, because no matter what I try, my bootup and startup take like 10 minutes...

Well whatever you have written will definately take more than 1 minute to complete so the purpose of opening in 10 seconds would not be served.

Well, i also not recommended try this. Not worth for it.

however i got a solution for everyone, no matter is pro and noob.
some freeware but strong than paid software and loading your pc in fast way, just click button very easy even 10 years kid also can do it.

avg 7.5 + spyware terminator + (secret weapon)

wanna know what is it?
it called advance windowcare v2, what is this?

it can:
unselect unwanted/illegal startup item
repair registry
remove spyware
delete temp files
system analysis
and more

the best is it free

I'm 100% guaranteed you that your pc will running faster like new (if you know well how to set it)
My pc(laptop) finish loading within 40-50 second, but my pc alway alot of spyware and those thing you know.

if without this secret weapon, i know that some pc even loading 10min+ also can't login. Now go for try it.

View more HERE

p/s: If i had help you, please donate me some point so that i can get my domain name earlier, i'll guide donators how to set correctly.
