To clearly see evolution of any given site over time; archive.org has the best tool (wayback machine) for it.

Click on the URL http://www.archive.org/web/web.php, and enter any website address in the wayback search and click on button "Take Me Back". Recent pages from the site of last 11 years will be displayed. Number of pages may depend on how frequently a site is crawl by their spider.

* it can also show the age of a site.

Well i also use this site for fun, to see old design and themes of some famous sites, how they have evolved with passage of time. Which is a guideline to us, that one day our sites will also become famous like them. No doubt, it take some time to get mature.
