And here's an interesting resource:
http://www.markcarey.com/googleguy-says/forum.html Somebody has been effectively taking all of GoogleGuy's posts from WebMasterWorld, and pasting them up on a forum just for these posts, and categorised in terms of importance. Who is GoogleGuy? Only an actual Google employee, who will periodically reply to questions and issues on WebMasterWorld on behalf of Google. Which means, of course, that you get the Google point of view - in other words, often image marketing rather than actually useful information. But, still, there is information in there and Mark Carey seems to have been copying it through.

Hi John, and yes, I've heard that, too - but how many names can actually be associated with the title? I know Matt Cutts is one - not sure about others.

googleguy has become abit of a legend, i've heard of him in forum after forum... Its good that someone has put all this posts in one forum as you never know that there could actually be information slipped which could help you Optimize your site effectivly and give you a compeitive edge which google originally never wanted you to know?..
This could be the reason googleguy doesnt want Mark the guy that set up the googleguy forum to post his comments http://www.markcarey.com/googleguy-s...says-stop.html |

GoogleGuy tends to be something of a Public Relations (re: marketing) figure, really - he never really gives away any detail, and generally his comments provide no new information either about Google or how Google deals with websites. However, he still represents one of the few public faces of Google, and sometimes it is interesting to see specific issues affirmed in specific ways. So long as you don;t take him too seriously then you're generally alright.
