Dual processors are great. Instead of doing one thing at a time really fast, dual cores do two things simultaneously. Very useful for programs that hog up processing, or very complex games.

Dual core processors are awesome. At the moment, they probably won't help you (applications aren't being designed to take advantage of dual-core, since not that many people own them). Give them a few years, though, and they'll become the standard.

I don't have dual core but my bro who purchased this processor says that it is a lil more faster than other computers... but i would still preffer AMD as i had a great experince with ther products till now.
