Hello.

I have been using Phpbb as my forum softwares for all my websites but it seems to be having too much security issues with spam bots easily attached to your forum etc.

Hope to hear reviews and comments of members here.

You are correct.
It is very easy to find Perl scripts to your "dirty work" of hacking into PhpBB forum software.

For example, here are some hacked phpBB boards:
http://www.oldcarspriceguide.com/
http://carpix.com/

As you can see, it is not that difficult to hack into them. I would recommend making the switch to something such as IPB, or InvisionPlus (free) at http://www.invisionplus.net.

Yeah Drew you are 100% right. Phpbb forums are hacked easily.
Terry, instead of Phpbb use SMF OR if you have money buy a Vbulletin License

But normally if you update to the newest phpBB, there should be less chence to get hacked

But I myself, recommend WBBB, SMF or IPB

phpBB is really weak in terms of security. Even script babies can hack it. And with very limited features so you'll need to install separate mods which is time-consuming. Some mod features are already built to some boards. Personally i'll go for smf or mybb (free) or vbulletin (paid).

i just suggest you quit using phpbb
and start using something like vbulletin, invision powerboard, or something free thats like them, like mybb
mybb looks cool, buttons are kindof 3d , and kind of see through
