Ah, well, I don't know how, but I know what you are trying to do can be achieved through GIMP.

My friend did it. The final product looks really cool .

GIMP will never be alternative to Photoshop CS2 Well.. it's free but it can't be compared with Photoshop anyway

Oh, I completely agree. I was just saying, I have seen my friend do what he wants to accomplish through GIMP .

yeah you are right.

Photoshop is paid, because it've lots of features, and Gimp is free because ...... (i didnt use it yet). I am sure that GIMP wont be better than Photoshop.

The easy example is that "SMF" is free and Vbulletin is piad. Now compare both . Everytime a PAID-thing is useful.

Photoshop is better, but GIMP has A LOT of features that Photoshop has.

You use Adobe Image Ready. Here you can create simple gif files. Its easy try it out.
