Default Espotting and Mirago?

Hi there,

Espotting and Mirago.

Has anyone had any experience, good or bad, with these PPC options?

I'm interested in expanding the PPC side of sites, already using Adwords and overture. Wondered how effective these are.

Cheers

K

I know some people on both sides of Espotting, and it seems to work well both ways. There are a massive number of Espotting affialites out there pushing their sites and their products - you just need be careful they don't drown out your own site.

Which reminds me, I was supposed to be looking into espotting's affiliate program...

Hello Dave,

Been running Mirago for a couple of weeks now, spent 71p!!

Traffic dire compared to overture and adwords for same keywords/phrases.

Espotting gives a bit more traffic but only say about 1-2% of awords and overture.

Still got to work out tracking conversions etc for both espotting and mirago, nowhere near as easy as OT and AW.

Don't like the interface in either Mirago or Espotting, Adwords is definitly the best and overture is Ok once you've worked it out.

Any other PPC worth using in UK that you know of?

Regards

K

Early days yet tho', needs working on.

I would say espotting is the better than Mirago, I put £25 with mirago 12 months ago and still not used it up. I was offered a free £25 credit with mirago for a new site so might be worth dropping them an email asking for a free credit if you intend to go with them.

I find overture to be the best at the moment.

How do you track conversions with espotting? Do you using a tracking code in your url?

Hi there,

I must admit I haven't done anything to track espotting or Mirago. I put up £50 with each of them about 3 months ago, to date Mirago has used up £10.00 and espotting about £30.00, average between the two is less than £10 per month.

When you consider our total spend on Overture and Adwords was at least 50 times that last month for the same keywords, I've decided not to bother with either Espotting or Overture. Its difficult to track and frankly not worth bothering with to us. Time is better spent playing with the other two.

It may be different for you and you can track through URLs as you say. But their own conversion tracking plans are useless.

Cheers

I am also looking at using a PPC management company.

Basically their entire business is tweaking campaigns for a %. Anybody got experience along these lines?

Most seem to charge £250-500 to set up then 10 or 15% of spend.
