Just had a look in 123-reg - I've got just over 200 there, about 60 with Enom, another 68 at Moniker, and a handful each at around 2-3 other registrars.
I'm currently in the process of building new sites on 50, another 50 have content but are set aside for future development, a directory network of around 15 domains I need to convert to blogs, etc. In the grand scheme of things, though, a minority actually earn any direct income, or have any reasonably traffic though. A lot of internet real estate I guess, which has always been my policy with link development - don't ask other webmasters for links - build the link locations yourself, then you alone are in full control. Higher short-term costs, lower long-term costs, plus the accrued asset value. I guess that's a big reason why I'm always seriously busy - developing new website, overhauling existing ones, plus personal attention required on those communities I've built which are actually taking off. Lots and lots of hard work. That why, here I am, gone 9pm on Monday night, setting up nameserver info for the 50 new sites, plus then have to set up the server DNS for each site across a number of different servers.
