Hey, I thought it'd be fun to post pictures of our workspace! I'll start it off, I know the pics aren't the greatest, but here is where all the magic happens:

How does a macs speed compare to a windows based machine? I'm not sure how to compare...

Thanks for the compliments guys. One of my other intrests is interior design, as I'm sure you guys share, it seems as designers we have an eye for all things aesthetic, especially our surroundings. I haven't had much time to work with my room, other than the red on the back wall and dormer, but I plan on incorporating some corrugated (sp?) metal siding and maybe some creative room dividers in the near future as I have a decent size room.

Andrew, as for Macs compared to Windows as far as speed, my 1.25GHZ powerbook seems to run faster than my parents 2GHZ Dell. It definitely runs high on memory apps such as Adobe and Macromodia products faster and smoother than the parents Dell. I am well pleased with the Mac's performance. I think MacOSX is simply more efficient than Windows.

On a side note, I'd love to have a studio like the one Citrus Media has! Check out the pics of their place, awsome!

now, i don't want to sound cocky or anything, because its not like i work for a design firm, but that citrus space looks somewhat run-of-the-mill, in comparison to some really fresh firms i've visited in London and Boston.

I know there are plenty of fancy firms out there, but I'd say they're doing pretty good to have a studio that clean for a firm of 3 employees. I would be more than pleased to have something like they've got going on.

Zip, do you have any links to photos of other catchy studios?

I am not sure as to direct links to studio images, but these are the main sites of some of the firms that come to mind, that I have visited, and was referring to:

In London

Form - a fresh largely-music oriented graphic design firm tucked into a small space, they hire young people:

Roundel - a very sucessful firm in the Notting Hill area, stocked with lots of new technology (plasma televisions):

Pentagram - the London office is where it all started. this is THE international graphic design firm, hands down. The interior space is incredible with large barnyard-style metal doors and such:

Stylorouge - another hip design firm, does a lot of CD covers, amongst other things, has 3 stories of an old building in London:

Recollective - in an old loft, an all-digital firm, right above a sushi restaurant on the south side (of the Thames), no A/C (but that is common in London), but beautiful all-wood interior space with minimalist furniture:

Frost Design - clean, impressive space, utilizes the top floor of an old building:

Conran Design Group - a bit scary actually, nestled in a slightly sketchier area of town, it is a bit of a gem, however. Lots of money seems to back up this firm that is a subsidiary of some huge international agency. The interior was on the nicer side for sure. I do know know their URL.
