Default SCO Group sues world over Linux use

Quite a story - SCO group thinks it can sue IBM and Dell and anyone else worldwide who uses Linux 2.4:

Ants bite lions. It's part of nature. Some creatures just don't know when they're outclawed. That's why crabs nip toes and bushwhackers sue corporate giants. It stops being litigation and becomes another channel of showbiz color.

What's fascinating is when ants really do bring down the lions. It can be done. I was always impressed that Michael Jackson was successfully sued over the pilfering of rights to his "Free Willy" theme song. With the money behind him, he could have dragged it out through the law courts for absolutely years, until the plaintiff was bankrupted by the appeals process.

Related to the SCO vs Linux one, saw this interview with Linus (head poncho of Linux) and he doesn't seem to worried about them. More like an annoying bee-sting (to stay with the animal theme) than a man-eating gerbil.

Thanks for the update.

I can't find it now, but the last time I saw an article cover SCO, the basic gist is that the light has been fading from their case, and the company is in real financial trouble unless they can actual prove something.

They've had a judge turn over code for SCO to look at - but if SCO don't find anything they can make a sustained point of in court, they're in do-do.
