Remember the good-ole days when you could get a PS2 and some organic carrot juice delivered to your door in under an hour? (long live Kozmo.com
)When I was working at an agency in Seattle around the same time, it was the golden age of reckless spending. Ping pong, pool table, retro stand-up video games? For granted! Weekly masseuse? I'll quit the week it's not there! $2000 Herman Miller chairs? Well, I gotta sit on something, and coding by hand is sooo hard my ass hurts in normal chairs. Grab a beer from the employee fridge for lunch? Hey, get me one too! So maybe you guys have some hilarious anecdotes as employees of forward-thinking companies? |

This thread just clicked. The DOT COM BOOM DUH! HAHA, I just got done reading "The Perfect Store: Inside eBay". By far the most successful company to come out of the dot com boom.
I would have loved to have been part of a start-up duing that time. Even if it was one of the 98% that later failed! |
