i dont like commenting on an unfinished/unlaunched site so... why dont you show us when you get the content put in . Half of my critique is based off of the way you assimilated the content into the design, and the value of the content

Dude, it's a beta release, I need to know what people think, and do they accept the design/layout, before I can continue with the main content... Otherwise it's a waste of work...

flash suff looks nice, but a bit boring with that forest of opportunities hard to say anything about the "content".. that spacer looks kinda <hr>ish

armin, honestly if a site has killer content, and a shit design, i could care less what it looks like. Content is more important. period.

the design is good, but as i said... it lacks content and that kills it.

only thing i would say is the content space is wayyy too small, IMO.

Dude this his personal portfolio site, he's not making a portal so it's not gonna have loads and loads of content, the main focus right now is going to be the design. He's not asking for a critique of his content, he's asking for a critique of the design.

Armin, I think you're on the right track. You need something going on in the flash forest. And I don't care for the font you used for the nav but other than that, looks like it will be pretty clean.

Thank you, broher, your one of very few who understands and can separate content from design.

so what if it's a portfolio site? FOr some reason a portfolio site isn't allowed to have content? I didnt say he had to have loads and loads of content, i said what matters was how he assimliated it into the design.

No you said if the content is shit, you don't care about the design. He simply asking only for a critique of the design, not the site as a whole. I see what you are saying Matt, you're saying content is a part of the design, which it is, and that you can't critique the site until you see how it flows as a whole. However, the design, the aesthetics, of a porfolio site, and any site for that matter, are content in itself and this is what he was asking for a critique of. You guys simply misunderstood eachother
