New ideas for the future

DWW will soon be an image host for all members

(as soon as I get all the bugs worked out with the journal system).

Basicly youll be able to upload images through user control panel here and images will be accessible through your username URL, ex:
http;//dimitry.designworldwide.com/images/imagename.jpg (or other formats)

I dont have all the details yet. There will not be a charge or anything but I might have to limit the number of images uploaded or total size of all images but this wont come till this gets out of control

I think its a cool idea for people without a host and who just want to host a sig or create a gallery of their work.

Any thoughts?

The number 1 problem with that is bandwidth.

The number 2 problem is file space. If this is a dedicated server (as in, _only_ DWW is hosted), disk space shouldn't be a problem.

Anyway, sounds great. I hope it works out.

Well there are 27 domains total. 1/3 of them are just redirects. 1/3 are not redirects OR setup as hosting, theyre just there. and out of the rest only 2 actually use up some bandwidth/space but not much.

Server has 700Gb total bandwidth and we have about 98% at our disposal.
We have a 60Gb hard drive and also about 98% of it to use.

Hey with those resources, at least I can give this a try.
And if its a success, we'll go from there

Yep, shouldnt take me more than a day to code it out.
Ill do it tomorrow, finishing up Journal can wait.
By the end of the month we'll have two full featured services.
