Default Ad for print & Promotional website

The following ad is within 8x5 margins because I wanted to fit 2 ads on one page (save me on printing).

It is basically a promotional ad campaign for my company (VeoCom).

The ad is targeted toward students who will then come to the website & receive all the needed information about hosting.

From there, they will proceed to my main site and sign up (hopefully!)

This is the ad:

It is NOT done. The text is kinda random and I did not think it through. Kinda just put it there while designing to have a filler. Same with the thumb up. I MIGHT do a mini iPod giveaway so a picture of that might be also on the left.

The website can be found here. It is still in the beginning stages.

Any comments, suggestions?
Thanks
Dimitry

Ehh just to add to that,
This is the 2nd of the 2 ad campaigns I will be launching, so it will not be up for a while, maybe not even until AFTER summer because school semester is over April 24th and then I go on my 4 month break

Nobody will be on campus for me to distribute the ads. Futhermore I want some of my friends who go to other schools to distribute the ads.
Other ad campaign is basicly a banner (468x60) thats going to be on the Business pages online on a local newspaper. Still have to meet with their people to work it out. We talked on the phone though and it looks good

That pretty cool man... few cons though the hand looks a bit out of perspective though also make it bigger other than that nice idea decent interpretation.

Yeah I keep telling myself that
I love those colors because they seem to work well but I see your point completely.

Colors are my challenge

Ad: I love your style ! The ad flows smoothly and you managed to make it very informative yet not crowded, good job. : )

Design: Visually it's pretty nice and has great colours. Though, when I look at it, my attention is thrown from the content to the right sidebar and I feel kind of lop-sided. Maybe extend the sidebar a little more vertically so it's in line with the bottom of the content or something :S

Great idea with the whole catering to the college scene. I've been playing with that whole idea for a while, target the frats and sororities, religious organizations etc. There are just so many campus organizations that could use better hosting than most colleges offer them not to mention if you could score some design contracts as well.

But I like the ad, simple, clean and too the point!
