Show me another aardvark site that has a bright orange creature with a long snout that goes by the name of Aaron? :P

No, I take your point... there's a lot of 4Hotels, 1NewYork and AAAdvertising, and all that sort of thing out there. You need to have something more than just that to get truly noticed.

Before I launched, I actually considered calling myself "Aardvark Marketing" for the exact same reason. Only, when I checked up there were quite a few Aardvark's already in existence, and I wanted a unique brand name that I could carry.

Yourself - you do well with the branding - you actually give it a sense of meaning, rather than just as a rush for early alphabetical listings.

Your comments imply that are prime motive was the alphabetic advantage?

You're right - there's a heck of a lot of aardvarks out there... there's also a http://aardvark-marketing.com/ site. Have a look at how search engine unfriendly it is!

Heh, it's amazing how un-search engine friendly many sites are.
