It's a bit like are £500 football shoes worth it? They are not worth it if your bad at football and hardly ever play it.
It's worth it if you will use it for what it is for. Making money doing graphic design or making your business look presentable & interesting. Some design studios would make that money back within the week so it pays for itself. Last edited by Lee-CGI; 16-02-2008 at 12:35 AM. |

Like he said, depends on your needs. It does some things other programs can't do. For that matter every graphic program I use does something the others can't do.
I would say, as in other threads here on the same subject, that if you are primarily doing we design and are most invested in logo creation, scaling, transparency, etc, you should try out free programs GIMP and paint.net before putting down that much money.

One thing I REALLY like is being able to fade the filters.
One thing I DON'T like is that, at least on my version, you can't undo more than one move. I have torn some hair over that one. Especially when you like touch it and it calls that a change and won't let you undo anything else. You start backing it up every time you breathe. Maybe they've improved that.

It may be that you're using undo instead of.. damn, what's it called... "step backward"
Undo will undo one step (the second time you use it, it'll undo the undo..). Step Backward steps back through previous operations, more like a traditional undo in other programs. Step Backword's shortcut is alt-ctrl-z |
