I use Photoshop on a daily basis... there is nothing else that compares with it.
Don't let the price affect your professionalism.

Really depends on what you are doing. If you use all the Photoshop features then it probably is worth it. If you only need something basic then the cost could be a problem. I've been trying out Gimp lately and it seems OK - different but OK.

Photoshop is really worth it. It is the premier image editing application — nothing else even comes close.
