who is the target audience for proxies?

i have a question
who do u expect to be the target audience for proxies?
the only group i can think of is school kids

I would agree with you that your primary audience for proxies would be school kids trying to bypass their filters. Here are some others I think would be on sites like these as well:

• Corporate workers behind content filtering
• Those in other countries behind national content filtering
• Those who use downloading services such as rapidshare or megaupload to download multiple files -usually warez (These services will only allow a user to download x files at a time and/or per hour- Based on IP)
• People who are IP banned from certain forums or sites
• And of course, School children trying to get to their profiles.

That's all that I can think of off the top of my head.
