Default Revolution?

I've been thinking for a while about developing a business site for business articles. I would like to do that here, but I already run the forums from the domain root.

I would also like to run a directory here, specialising in business and marketing sites. But, again, no room here.

I am also looking to develop a webhosting site - reviews, news, views - interviews. A directory, tutorials, guides to the industry - for users and hosts alike.

I also need to get some articles developed for SEO lab.

I thought having lots of speciality sites would be a good idea - for generating lots of good backlinks. For example, there are about 20 pages at SEO lab, and they are all PR4+. They backlink to here and business site. Backlinks. That's good?

But...

...today I had a better idea. Sod the search engines - to hell with having a handful of little speciality sites, that individually can never compete properly against the leaders of their field.

And 20 PR4+ links? What are they actually going to achieve, when there is so much competiton around?

Today I thought about how great it would be to merge them all into one concept - one "super site" - covering all these fields in depth.

One domain - all content. Business-talk, SEO lab, the new webhosting domain, the directories and new articles - all rolled into one single main site.

It would bring more visitors together, encourage more natural linking, recommend improved targeted traffic - and even offer better advertising opportunities.

Prepare for something special.

There's a smell of revolution in the air.
