Default Question about Firefox

I took the time a month or two back, to actually download the latest version of Firefox (I'm on dial-up - you don't want to know how long it took.) I really liked it, except for one thing. I couldn't figure out how to get each new website I opened to open up in a new tab.
Can anyone help me with that?

Normally I use right click to open it in a new tab. I believe there is a configuration setting to set the action of just a left click, so it opens in a new tab.

I have just gotten used to right clicking though, for a new tab.

I'm talking about if you type a new address into the address bar, or try to open one of your favorites. It always opens in the current window for me, and I want it to open in another.

In Firefox, go to Tools > Options > Tabs

Then select Open in New Window.

Hope that helps.

I thought that existed, but was not sure. I used to use an old extension that had tabs for Firefox and it had that option. I thought I might be remembering that and not the built in firefox tabs.

By the way the firefox tabs need to allow you to close all windows to the left or the right of the current tab.

Man! I looked around for that too Brian. Thanks! I was so used to my Crazybrowser that I was looking in the wrong places.

By the way anyone using firefox 2.0 now? The new improvements are awesome. I am particularly fond of the spellchecker, but the upgrades to the tabs is nice too. Scrollbar, close down with x on tab, and also reopening closed tabs for those "oops" moments.

Yep, using it. Also managed to completely offend Mozilla on one of my other sites.
