Secondly - because the live links are effectively on extensively duplicated content, my previous policy of pushing links at all of these is likely to be relatively inefficient if Google's duplication filters takes out most of these articles - as I'd expect them to do. Therefore next time I run something like this, I'll simply set up links to a single copy of the press release on an authority site.

Overall, that means spending more frequently, but requiring a smaller budget per release, and additionally highlighting an individual site publication with links per release, to get the most from the link impact.

2c.
That's interesting. And I suppose quite logical really.

Brian, have you got any suggestions for a PRWeb-style service targeted more towards the UK market?

I've had some experience with getting press releases out to the press with mixed results, mainly due to the industry I've been working with, but still have a need for an online delivery method such as PRWeb.

I'm not sure about the UK market at present - namely on the issue of UK sites syndicating Press Releases with live links, which doesn't seem so common.

Yes, that's specifically what I was after. Bugger.

Anyone up for a new project?
