SEO Gurus please let me know what should be the ideal URL structure for any web page to get high rankings in Google??
Is there any specific pattern assigned for it??Is it necessary to have keywords within the URL?? |

According to Google it shouldn't matter but even if that were true it can't help to follow these general guidelines:
use keywords in the same order as someone would search don't repeat keywords beware of repeating keywords if they already exist in your domain URL re-write if you can to remove underscores, dashes and file types don't overuse URL re-writes to create what might appear to be a deep directory structure that does not really exist. Hope that helps Carl

I place very little emphasis on URL structure - sure, keywords in there where possible, but not overdone. Simple where possible, ie:
/blue-widgets/ instead of /cheap-blue-widgets-for-sale-uk/ Link anchor text plus on-page factors will more than cover for URL structure IMO.
