Hello,
If you install the Google Toolbar it will tell you a Page's Rank. You can also find tools at sites like http://www.seochat.com Hope it helps Martin |

You can't predict PageRank, and frankly, people are too obsessed with PageRank. PageRank does *not* = page rankings.

I agree with Brian about the fact there is no need to obsess about page rank.
In fact, I have heard a rumour that Google will be doing away with Page Rank in the not to distant future, this has been brought about by people making money selling links from high ranking sites. |

PR is only good at selling text links IMO. SERP on the other hand is favorable if your site is selling a particular product or service and you improve on this by on-page optimization like meta tags, keyword optimization, etc.
What you should be focusing on is getting targetted traffic to your site. You get this thru a number of ways like PPC, buying targetted link backs, posting on similar niched forum, etc. |

Absolutely right - green toolbar values serve as a badge, little else of practical value. Obsessing over PR values is just not healthy - unless, as above, you're selling links.
![]() So I think for the most part, most people can rightly avoid worrying about public PR updates. ![]() On that point - PageRank actually updates pretty much daily, if I correctly recall comments Matt Cutts has made. It's only the public display that updates quarterly.
