I'm going to take a guess that you would rather I didn't post my ideas here?

The trouble with posting ideas on domain names in public is that someone else can look to register them.

Is that all they wanted? That's a bargain! Try this one

The £75 & £95 offers weren't serious offers, I was trying to get a ball park figure for the domain but choked when I got it.

Everytime you bid £20 he comes down £500. At that rate you should get it for a few hundred

I bid up to £300 but he stayed at £44,500. I figured he wasn't going to accept anything lower than a five figure sum, so I gave up. He's probably gambling on the fact that Croydon applies for city status every few years, and if it gets it, then it's profile will be raised increasing the value of the domain. I can never see that happening as it's far too close to London. It'll be interesting to see what happens to the domain though.

I would value it at about £7K, you could use the domain quite well to open a proper little business portal - so it's probably worth more than £300.

£44K is definately a bit optimistic but stranger things have happened.
