No, you're right wood1e - I can assure you I'm looking to reband on a strong domain, though.

Adidas has a big advantage over what I can do, not least massive brand marketing which makes the name memorable. Just try and tell someone about Platinax, and you will always have to spell it.

Well, it's just parked with SEDO by a domaining company called 4 Names limited (ie, buying domains just for parked clickthrough and resell value).

So I registered with SEDO and placed a minimum bid of £300 for businesspoint.co.uk - a name I thought was pretty brandable and would make a great place to move Platinax.

Unfortunately, the seller immediately responded that they wanted £7,000 for it, which is nuts, but they refused to change their position.

So back on the hunt again.

Aren't you worried about using a .co.uk where the .com is already regisetered?

Is it imperative that it have the word business in the url?

Depends - pretty much any useful .co.uk domain name will have long had the .com version registered.

I'm ideally looking for a domain name that will describe the site, as Platinax doesn't currently do that.

that's already taken

Brian, would you consider a .org? or does it have to be .com/.co.uk?

I'd recommend a .co.uk purely for the reasons that it will stop a large number of people from other countries coming on and asking questions which we can't help them with.

Perhaps include 'UK' in the name too (UK Small Business Forums had the right idea!) to keep the noise to a minimum.
