Apologies for Platinax being unavailable this morning - there was a very serious crash on the server and it couldn't be stabilised until the main harddrive had been reformated.
Luckily, I'd made sure we were running a SCSI with RAID so the data loss via the second harddrive is minimal. Even still, not a pleasant situation.

The really crappy part of it was the server is also my main adserver - so when it went down it took down around 40-50 of my other websites.
![]() I'd already re-coded all the necessary files and allocated them to 5 other servers for redundancy purporses - meant to go live last Friday, but got too busy - so today I had to spend a lot of the day going around all of the crashed websites to replace the advertising code so that they could get back up. Still, I guess at least I'd already got the coding part done so that today was less painful.
