Default Aiming for the Longtail

A nice post on trying to detemine which longtail phrases may have a structure you can aim for when doing your SEO and PPC:

Brian, nice article, thanks...

Long tails are the way to go in many industries, ours (personal injury lawyers) is a prime example.

If you have an accident in Tesco I doubt you will go and look for 'personal injury lawyer' on Google, instead you will search for something like 'supermarket accident claim' or something similar.

We lost a fortune on Adwords chasing generic phrases, now we have hundreds of longtails, as a result the cost per click is much lower and the quality of leads is higher!

Look at that, didn't even mention my blog...lol

Heh heh.

Nice to see you follow over from UKBF - and good to hear about the long tail - I think the point you underline is that it's seriously important to target keywords that searchers may be using.
