paypal and ebay
is anyone having problems with their paypal account and ebay? This week twice i have lost my bank details on both accounts and even received an email from ebay saying as i had not used my account for a year the bank account was deleted. Which is so strange as i use both regularly. Twice i have added my account and twice it seems to have disappeared in the either somewhere on both accounts?

It sounds to me as if you may have responded by clicking a link in an email you received that was supposedly from Ebay or PayPal. I have dealt with both for years and never had this sort of issue. Log into your Ebay account and see if there are any messages waiting for you there. Also, call PayPal and find out what they can tell you.
You can't go by the return email address of any emails you receive that claim to be from either organization. The return email addresses will appear to be legitimate, but they are not. "Spoofing" and "Phishing" as this practice is commonly called, is a well laid trap to get control of your account by asking you to click over from a link embedded into an email and re-enter or confirm proprietary information. Neither PayPal nor Ebay will ever ask you to click a link in an email. |
