Dragon's Den is a fantastic platform for giving inspiration to those that have an idea for a product or service but don't have either the business acumen or the funds (or both!) to get the idea off the ground.
You do need to worry about some of the "contestants" who are afraid to accept a Dragon's offer when a higher share of the company is requested. Just because they're not going to be making 70% of the profits doesn't mean they're going to lose out! The Dragon's wouldn't entertain an idea if they didn't think it was going to make them a lot of money. I'd rather have 40% of something than 100% of nothing. |

Dragons Den is a great programme but what I have found after interviewing a number of the people who appeared on the show is, the people who received no money have done better than the people who did receive money

I'm sure those that have a proper saleable product have just as much chance going it alone or with backing away from DD, but there must be hundreds that got onto the show with no chance whatsoever of getting their product off the ground, regardless of how much time or money is thrown at it.
