We've been getting a huge amount of spam posted here - so I'm trailing yet another anti-spam plugin, to at least prevent people posting links.
Hopefully will help reduce the admin workload...

I'd love to see something like Akismet for vbulletin - the new anti-spam script doesn't seem to like working with rewritten URLs. Very annoying.

Brian, have you had a look at Spam Decimator http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=93762 It doesn't cut out the admin side completely but it does work a treat on Mobile Phone & fake trainers posts...
Oh and it works with SEF URL's too.

The trouble I have with that plugin is that it appears to be more for dealing with spam after it happens - what I really need is a more proactive solution.
I'm seriously wasting a lot of time on my forums just moderating posts flagged as potential spam - I need something to stop the spam being posted in the first place, without members losing their posts, and without it conflicting with vbseo.
