It did. Just lowered my PR on www.insoft.ro from 5 to 4, and gave almost all pages PR 4. Hope it is not finished.

I'm seeing a PR5 for insoft.ro

I find it doesn't help to worry too much about Google. It's better to take a long view.

I am *still* not seeing updated PR or backlinks - but I've looked at http://216.239.41.104/ and the fewer listed backlinks is something of interest.

I'm sure the update is still a few days off from finishing, though, and PR etc is known to be quite screwy in this period.

As for worrying about PageRank - too right, it's not something to be too concerned about for ranking purposes - the PR aspect of ranking nowadays is easily drowned out by anchor text. However, for advertising purposes PR holds some weight - sites with higher PR can command higher advertsing fees.

Exactly that - using the toolbar for PR reports, and link: shows up major links. However, something I've never seen made plain on other forums is just how hard it is to actually track down all links - if a site uses a lot of generic anchor text on low PR pages, then these can be incerdibly hard to detect.
