Here's another algo that Google can call up: Topic Sensitive PageRank:

In short, it sounds quite like an expert system - like the Google: Hilltop alogrithm - but with some kind of subtle differences - and all powered by a similar software concept as is behind adsense.

anyway, I'll observe how all this goes and try to update with some better background info on this algo.
