It seems to me that the big buzz at the moment is the introduction of more "web 2.0" user defined web sites, like squidoo. Even Google now is an interactive experience. I have heard a lot about Ajax and wondered how this fits into the whole SEO side of things, bearing in mind the difficulties search engines have reading Javascript and Flash.
Is it something to think about getting into? |

If your site is designed with accessibility in mind, then the javascript goodies will degrade cleanly so the search engines would see the degraded version of the page which will still have all the necessary content.

Ajax could create similar problems as with Flash when it comes to deep links and unique URLs for unique content:

Agree.
Plus it is not internationally defined. Definition of web2 from one webmaster will differ from others. One famous webmaster, stated that his site is web2 compatible, when what he did was only add a blog and forum. Quite strange though why many people rush to get it. |
