I can't seem to stop myself. I think MSN and Yahoo have better results but I instinctively choose google first if I am searching for something.
Is it the simplicity of the site or all the hype? Do I need therapy - (or drugs even) to wean me off it? Help me. Somebody please. All donations to my medical and psychiatric expenses would be greatly received

I tried weaning myself off Google, but even though I think it's relevancy has been going down for years, Yahoo! seem to treat the UK audience as some annoying requirement they don't have to take too seriously. And Microsoft still can't tell their arse from their elbow with search.

The reason we all use and keep using Google? Google didn't only create a fantastic advertising campaign that made the word Google synonymous with Search, they also have by far the best and most accurate algorithm.
The former reason often starts people using it, and the latter keeps them using it. I'll keep on Google until the others catch up... if they ever do :s On the plus side it make SEO somewhat easier... optimising for one engine only has to be easier! ^^

If I had to choose another search engine, I would also choose MSN - but for results only. I hate the fact that everytime I use either MSN or Yahoo, you have to go through their home page that has news and pictures and all this other crap to get through to find the search bar. With Google, it's right there in the middle of the page, and there isn't anything else getting in the way. It's quick and easy.
