Default 2007 Goals

Have you worked out all of your goals for 2007? I'm still refining my list, what about everyone else?

Goals are great - some large, some small.
The small ones are stepping stones to the large ones.
I have loads of goals - get more customers, buy a new van, upgrade the car, increase brand awareness, do more advertising... the list is endless!

What are you focusing on?

For me, I'm focusing on:

Revamping my website in both design and copy.
Increasing my client list by 400%.
Writing two non-fiction books.
Increasing my royalty income by at least 300-400%.

Wow, those are some huge goals, taiarain! I can't even get started on my first book, and you are planning to write two.

My business goals are to review my customer base and see where I am doing well and where I can improve. I then want to work in some more precise targeting within my marketing strategy. That should help increase my revenue and new customer acquisition.

I set up some here:

Bottom line - get my business into better shape, expand it, and generally work at it more leanly.

Nice way to lay-out all your goals Brian.

I read on another forum that people who publicly state there goals whether it be online or to friends, family etc are a lot more likely to achieve them because of the increased pressure to succeed.

I thought this was interesting and makes sense as well.

Another thing (not trying to hijack the thread or anything). I was wondering how much you guys think the way you set your goals varies the outcome of whatever it is your doing.

Let me explain more clearly. For the new Jaguar XK, the company has set a target of a market share of 10% (each year), rather than say 10,000 cars which is what they always did in the past. How much do you think this will affect their results (if at all).

Aslo , we have to build a e-market for our company.

I don't know that they are that lofty. The two books are actually one larger project that took two distinct directions which is very cool. Also, there is almost no research required which will help the projects really move.
