Hi there

I have passed 3 different MCSE's 2000, 2003 and SQL and used BrainDump for moc exams but with regards to prep I would suggest taking the courses and read all the books. Don't take shortcuts if they are offered to you. I left the IT industry because it is overflowing with people who think they understand what is going on and very few who do actually understand.

In the old saying "If you can stay calm while others around you are loosing their heads, you don't understand the situation!!!" is never more realistic than in the IT industry.

Good luck

If you want to self study, then the Microsoft Press exam study guides were the ones I found closest to the official Microsoft course material (no surprise there )

Stay away from the braindump type of sites until you're 100% sure of your material as I found many of the sites that accepted visitor supplied exam questions had the wrong answers.

For the Microsoft exams, then set yourself up a couple of low spec PC's on a network and work through ALL the examples and spend time breaking and fixing the system until you are confident. For the Cisco exams, this may be a bit more expensive, but you might pick up some old kit on ebay.

You could do it by just by study, but these people (often referred to as Paper MCSE's - or much worse!) are no use in the real world
