Default deep level links

Do links have to be to a top level domain or can they be deep links to a specific page within a site. Also can I determine clickable text in a link.

Yes to both.

Not only can you submit whatever URL you wish, but if you wish to submit multiple pages from your site then the directory will allow for that, so long as you don't mind paying for the extra exposure.

Also, you're more than welcome to determine the text in the link as you see fit.

Hope that helps.

Not specifically about the directory.... but I have heard that having deep level links can be more beneficial to your site than plain old domain links.

Is that true?

I think it's important to vary index page vs deep links in a linking development strategy - domains will all links to the index page are top heavy and potentially easy to spot and devalue algorithmically.

Yes I also agree with what Brian has said that is necessary to maintain a ratio between main index page and the deep links of a site.We have therefore even launched a directory where only deep links will be listed.
