It's hard to avoid those sales calls, but recently I've become bent on turning them around.
Here's a couple of real examples from this week: Q. Hello, would you like to buy a caravan from X company? A. No, I'm afraid I'm not in the market at present. However, I've just looked at for you site on Google and can't find it. Do you realise how much oney you could be losing through the lack of a SEO and PPC management campaign? (She thought she'd better refer this to her supervisor - wasn't a call center job, but in-house small company telemarketing). Q. We're offering news items to help you get top of Google for news articles, at only £16 an article. A. It's too over-priced - my main business is SEO and I already have some great quality content writers. In fact, I could probably supply the same to you for half the price so you make a clear 50% profit outsourcing to Britecorp. (She was surprised, will call back next week - ostensibly to continue to push her services, so I'll continue to push mine back ).
