Default Firefox can't handle Javascript

It's been a general mantra that Firefox is more secure than IE - but it seems that now it's been shown that the entire way Firefox handles Javascript will need to be completely recoded because the current system is flawed:

Firefox faces serious security threat

I could be wrong, but I've read that they found this to be false (I'll try look for the article I read). Personally I love using FireFox, especialy because of the tabs, but it has trouble opening pdf files and the movie clips from bbc news.

Lol! Tell me about it.

What's really annoying is when I open up multiple browser windows (my normal way of surfing, actually - got 11 open at present, 2 Firefox and 9 IE) and then when Adobe crashes, all of the Firefox windows get shut down. Annoying.

"Mischa is a young man - he meant the presentation in jest," said Jane Anderson, spokeswoman for Six Apart.
If Mozilla were for-profit, there'd be one hell of a defamation suit following from that.

It was never announced as a joke, but as serious news. What, did Six Apart take a big kick-back from Microsoft?
