Default Yahoo!, ifriends & mafia

I’m not spamming, I’ve nothing to sell, I just want everyone to know what’s happening, because it may help them. How much do you know about Yahoo?

[ADMIN EDIT: Unsubstantiated allegations removed]

I'm curious - if this is such a real story, then why post the message to business forums, when you could in fact contact journalists who could properly research the details?

There are some serious allegations about Yahoo! in there Brian. I'd have another look at the last paragraph of that post if I were you.

Cheers,
Ender.

Agreed - it's not simply spamming, it's a mass defamation spamming campaign.

I've copied the original post to a private archive, and deleted the substance of the allegations from public view as there's no call for it, and no justification for Platinax publishing them.

hello, i'm keith jones. I don't consider it spamming, since i'm not selling am revisiting to answer questions. I have spoken to many journalists, and authorities, and organisations having some success. However the captives are still captive, and raising public awareness is a viable strategy. It's a shame if you don't believe me, but there's not much i can do about that, willing to answer your questions on another visit.
best wishes
keith

Sorry Keith but you are spamming - joining up with different usernames to communities all over the web simply to promote your message is forum spamming.

Whatever the supposed merits of your promo, forum spamming is not the way to get the necessary authorities to tackle such a story.

In fact, what you are actually doing is posting potential libel, and this could get a lot of forum administrators into trouble.

In simple terms, you are a shit, and a stupid one at that. If there is any truth in your story whatsoever, making innocent forum admins liable to legal action from Yahoo! because you're too dumb to push the supposed story in the right place to the right people is completely irresponsible.

I'm not interested in asking you questions - and you've already been reported up at Security Watch:
http://www.securitywatch.co.uk/forum...alert-190.html

Bottom line is - you don't go mass spamming on forums claiming that Yahoo! are baby murderers, and expect people to think you're a good guy.

Like I said, you went the completely wrong way about the issue and could have got a lot of innocent people into trouble because of your crusade.

Do you know Platinax once almost got sued because of something someone posted up? Forum admins in the UK are legally responsible for whatever is posted on their forums.

Therefore your posting libel across UK forums shows a blatant irresponsibility.

Think about that before you try to sound smart about running a smear campaign against any particular cause, and use proper channels next time.

Vinney - try looking at it from an outsider's point of view. We know nothing about you, including who you are. You've posted stuff that could make Platinax (and the other boards you've been posting across) the target of legal action by some pretty big companies, and not given any proof. To anyone other than you, it comes across as unsubstantiated allegations, and its not you who is risking legal action, it's the forum owners.

You could argue that you're risking your life by crossing the mafia etc, but again, we only have your word for it, and that doesn't count for much without us knowing anything about you.

So yeah, there's ways and means of doing things, and in this case, forum spamming isn't a good one. If anything, it undermines the credibility of your story, because people wonder "hey, if this is true, why am I only hearing about it through some anonymous guy on the net?".. whereas, if you got the story taken up by a trusted organisation, whether that's news media or something else, it'd have much more effect.

To bring this a bit more into the business realm (and less irrelevent to Platinax), you need to identify ways to effectively reach people with your message, and in this case, it means getting a credible source to confirm what you've said and bring it to a wider audience.
