I wrote out a long post explaining how much I like the vB feature where blog titles are displayed but I lost it by using a smilie (ouch)
Anyway, the platinax blog is awesome and I would love to read a lot of forum members business blogs on a regular basis. Maybe something to consider if it can be adapted into what are pretty clean forums.

Sorry about that - the script is there to stop the spammers, and though it seems like an awful nuisance, when I took it off one of my other forums, we just got a run of spam, uncluding porn, posted up.
![]() The smilies issue is annoying though - I'll have to see if I can edit the script to allow smilies. As for the vb feature for blog titles - do you mean like the one Shawn has up at DigitalPoint? I've tried to push on offering members here a free blog to use, but got sidetracked by a heavy workload. There are a handful up at present, but I should definitely look to organising something if anyone's interested.

Oh, I understand not being able to post links for new members as I agree with that. I wouldn't even mind the smilies if it returned you to your post and allowed you to edit it. Unfortunately, right now it just deletes your post which may discourage newbies a bit that write out a long response. Keep up the good work Brian!

I have to admit I find the script a little annoying myself - in fact, after posting this, I'll have a look at the code and see if I can find a way to make it more user-friendly.
Trouble is, on the forums where I've had it installed and then taken it off, they usually get hit immediately with spam runs, and sometimes for adult content, which is something that causes more problems than the script causes. Anyway, you're only 3 more posts from 15, so you should be fine with posting without the script policing you very soon. ![]() I'll also watch out for the blog link for vb - not away of it being a standard vb feature, but I'll check out vb.org if required and see if I can find a plugin version to run.
