I'm exploring the possibility of running some ecommerce products from a couple of sites via dropshipping.
Although I tend to focus on UK markets, I'm very aware that a lot of my potential customers would be in the USA. I've therefore been doing some research on dropshipping options, and here's a few potentially useful resources I've come across from research today: Dropshipper Directories Worldwidbrands has been well recommended, but with the warning that it's mostly for dropshipping within the US: http://www.worldwidebrands.com/ WholesaleCentral is another directory that I've seen a couple of recommendations for: http://www.wholesalecentral.com/ Information on Dropshipping Entrepreneur.com article on what is dropshipping: Using Drop Shippers for Your Online Store Dropshiparea - small site with some info on dropshipping: http://www.dropshiparea.com/ Wholesalespotter forum - small forum with discussions on dropshipping: http://www.wholesalespotter.com/forum/ Dropshippers (Electronics) These are a couple of sites that were recommended as dropshipper solutions for electronics and electrical products: Koby International (car audio/stereo consumer electronics) http://www.koby-international.com/ Ingram Micro (Computer and IT solutions) http://www.ingrammicro.com/ EnPointe (IT solutions) http://www.enpointe.com/ D&H (Comsumer electronics, video games, academic bookstores) http://www.dandh.com CWR Electronics (car, marine, and communications) http://www.cwrelectronics.com/ Wholesale Heaven (Australia) (Comsumer products for Australian markets) http://wholesaleheaven.com.au/ Anyway, that's all I've got so far.

Indeed - I'm going to compile some more resources, and alibaba is one that has also been recommended by a client of mine.

Man.. that brings back some memories. My older brother and I tried to set up a dropshipping site online. We even bought the 'dropship directory.' unfortunately we never really took the initiative and could not find products with high enough profit margins. Are there any even? Its kind of hard from what I remember.

I've seen a lot of reviews for the worldwidebrands.com, but they charge a membership fee. There are plenty of other wholesalers/dropshippers out there who do it for free. You shouldn't have to pay someone to do business with them -- that's my opinion anyway.
You have to be really careful when looking for a dropshipper. There are so many who claim to be wholesalers and dropshippers, when they are in fact only middle men between you and the real wholesaler. |

Think it's as much a case of research - hopefully the links above will make for a good start with that.
![]() It's also worth pointing out that you can work with overseas dropshippers - simply that not all of them ship to the UK. You need to find out which ones will in your product area.
