Hi there
I am currently about to start up my part time evenings and weekends computer repair service! I currently work full time on an IT helpdesk. I've delivered leaflets and stuck adverts everywhere. I have given out my mobile number as a contact number, but this will not be practical, as I am at full time work all day. Does anyone know of any other communication solutions for me please? Is it possible to get a Skype number and have that forwarded onto a mobile? thanks |

Skype forwards to a mobile number. But it can be expensive wit high call rates.
I have an 0845 number pointing to my skype and my skype pointing to my mobi when I am not sat at a terminal it works fine. If you wish I can add you to my helpdesk under your local area and put any business that comes from your area to you? This can be via email telephone or SMS, you just log in get thier details and call them or deal with their problem on line? Cheers David Last edited by dmscs; 05-02-2006 at 11:52 AM. |

An important question is - how professional do you want to appear?
Cheapest option - publish your mobile number and have the answerphone turned on. Most professional option - telephone services company will have a real person answer the phone and text you with details. |

Mobiles put people off calling if it is B2c. You can get an 0845 number (for £20.00 for a one off fee) to your home line that diverts to your mobile after a set number of rings.
Answer phones are a no go. People like to talk to a person so I would do the above or get a company to answer your calls and sms you.

You could go the non-geo route (0800/0845) although not all will forward to mobile. Answering services are ok, shop around and you could get one quite cost effectively. Gary |

You could try using our service to handle your inbound calls. You have an online portal to manage the calls and you can set your opening or closing times. There's no problem to forward to mobile but there would be a cost associated with it.. There's a free trial and tour on the website so you can get a good idea how it works.
hope this helps.
