I used to groan whenever I saw companies offering design services working from a purchased template - in this case, my original design was simply lacking the inspiration and vital presention. I am working on building a very unique logo, and will have a new self-designed site template to work with eventually. For the moment, the purchased template is to serve as a stop-gap measure.
The articles themselves on the britecorp site are mostly aimed at SME's looking to enter the internet for the first time. They are aimed as sort of "pep talks", rather than detailed pieces for the experienced webmaster.
